O. Pavlenko, Sc. D. (Philological Sciences), Professor, Dean of the Foreign Languages Faculty of Mariupol State University.
In 1984 O. Pavlenko graduated from the Horlivka Institute for Foreign Languages, specialism “English and German Languages”, in 2007 defended her thesis for obtaining PhD in Philological Sciences at the Institute of Philology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, in 2017 – her doctoral thesis at the Institute of Philology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
Since 2017 O. Pavlenko has been working as a Professor of the English Philology Department at Mariupol State University.
She is the author of over 100 scientific papers on translation studies, comparative literature and genre theories of translation. In 2011-2013 O. Pavlenko was a member of the editorial Board of the English magazine “Barnolipi Journal” (India).
O. Pavlenko has received awards from public institutions of different levels: Certificate of Appreciation from Mariupol City Council (2001), Letter of Acknowledgement from the Head of Education and Science Department of Donetsk Regional State Administration (2009), Certificate of Merit from the National Academy of Educational Sciences (2016), Letter of Acknowledgement from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (2017).
O. Pavlenko is a member of the project “English for Universities,” introduced by the British Council of Ukraine and a social partner of the project “Go Camp”.
